Theraclone Sciences is an early stage research company located in Seattle, WA (www.theraclone-sciences.com) that discovers human monoclonal antibodies for therapeutic or vaccine-design development using the state-of-the-art I-STAR technology (Walker LM et al, 2009, Science, 326:285-9).
Theraclone is currently seeking a Ph.D. scientist with extensive research experience in virology and demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results in discovery projects. This Research Scientist will be expected to be a hands-on expert in all aspects of virology-related lab work and infection inhibition studies with neutralizing antibodies and/or antivirals.
Qualifications:
• Experience in designing in vivo efficacy studies in animal models and previous employment in biotech industry is highly desirable.
• Experience with various neutralization assay methods, and ability to design and implement screening assays to identify human antibodies from memory B cells.
• Experience using immunologic assays to identify therapeutic or vaccine design candidates in vitro.
• Ph.D. in virology, immunology or relevant biology discipline with post-doctoral experience.
