Don’t miss this exciting Conference to convene at the historic site of Asilomar on the Pacific Coast and the 50th anniversary of the Midwinter Conference of Immunologists! This three-day event is priced less than a bottle of monoclonal antibody! The Registration form on the website (www.midwconfimmunol.org) describes the various housing accommodations and fees for your stay at Asilomar. If you plan to share a room with a registered colleague, please include the name(s) on the form. A spouse or other adult who is not attending the meetings should be registered as a “Guest.” A nominal fee is required and a name badge will be issued for admittance to the Conference receptions. Postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students must present a support letter signed by their sponsor as requested on the form; a group letter will not be accepted.
As an alternative to dining indoors at noontime, choose a To-Go lunch from the dining room; an advanced reservation is not required. A box lunch may be chosen for Tuesday (the last day only) January 25th. Indicate the number of box lunches on the form; please do not exceed the number of persons you have registered.
Registration begins at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 22nd at the MCI registration area in the front lobby. On Saturday evening at 7.30 PM we will look back at 50 years of MCI, followed by the Dan H. Campbell Memorial Lecture presented by William E. Paul. A reception will follow these presentations in the Nautilus and Triton rooms. The Conference concludes at Noon, Tuesday, January 25th and includes lunch.
Laboratories are urged to develop posters to present at Asilomar. The Poster Sessions are scheduled for Sunday and Monday afternoons and will remain on display for the duration of the Conference. The Poster Abstract form must be downloaded from the website and electronically sent to the address indicated on the form by Friday, December 17, 2010. All posters are accepted and the abstract will allow us to organize them into appropriate groups. Outstanding posters from a postdoctoral fellow and from a graduate student will be selected for the “Ray Owen Young Investigator Award” and for the “Council Award.” In addition, several abstracts will be selected for short talks. Please Note: photographs of poster data and of the slides during the Sessions will not be allowed!
A map of Asilomar and area information is posted at www.asilomarcenter.com. The deadline date for registration without a late fee is Friday, November 19th. The availability of space in January just prior to the meeting may be ascertained from the Registrar preferably by e-mail, ten.uyb|yenrug.mik#ten.uyb|yenrug.mik or telephone 1-650-571-8367 (Eastern Time).
For accommodations after the meeting has convened, call the Asilomar Conference Grounds, 1-831-372-8016, and request to speak with the Registrar, Kim Gurney, at the Midwinter Conference desk.
Visit our website frequently for updated information, www.midwconfimmunol.org. The Conference attendance is limited to 650 attendees and it is suggested that you register as soon as possible.
