The Student Research Forum (SRF) is a celebration of student research in all OHSU schools and disciplines held May 13th and 14th. This year’s forum will host a keynote speaker, student research oral presentations, and a large cross-disciplinary poster reception. The event will also be a teaching and outreach opportunity, as high school students and undergraduates from across the Portland area will be attending. All research presentations and the keynote address will take place in the OHSU Old Library. This year's keynote address will be given by Dr. Louis Guillette, an HHMI investigator from the University of Florida, whose thrilling work examines the role of environmental factors and reproductive system of various wildlife species including alligators. His address will be Thursday May 13th at 3:00pm followed by the poster session and reception. The closing awards gala will be held on the evening of May 14th in the Vey Conference Center, on the the south end of the 11th floor in Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, near Veteran’s Hospital Road.
